Kat Party Kars

Kat Party (My Children’s Book) is going well. Thank you everyone who has been so supportive. Since my move to Seattle I've found inspiration easy to come by. Enjoy!

Kat Parti

A few weeks ago my girlfriend and I were listening to Dragonforce. We were really inspired and began designing a cartoon... this is where the design is at for now, well see where it goes.

Another Valkyrie

This one is for a project I am trying to rally artists around the office to get involved with. Actually it's more of a group or a club than a project but, the idea is I am trying to encourage artists around the studio to create a pieces of work based on a different subject every month.

February's subject was Valkyries.

My Senior Movie.

After wading through the bureaucracy of UC Davis and convincing a number of department heads that when broken down into its essential components, a student film should be honored as a senior project and honors thesis; my four partners and I pulled together this film. It was a very difficult process as UC Davis, of last year, had no department focused in animation or industry art of any kind. However, as I mentioned by convincing several departments that this was a worth while project, we we’re able to assemble the pieces of the puzzle that would allow this student film to happen. From there, with very little real world experience, but a lot of drive we made The Tale of Eighywahn’s Canard.

Markers

Markers are a wonderful tool for concept art. They are fast as lightning and you can keep a big pile of quick marker sketches all over the desk allowing you to, at a glance, pick colors and design you'd want to push forward to a cleaner piece.

Here are 2 marker doodles from yesterday.

Fantasy

Work for Bratz

"Bratz" has a very defined style, but at times we're able to push those boundaries.

Altered Life Drawings

These drawings are based on life drawing sessions at UC Davis. It was much more fun revisiting the original drawings and changing them into what you see here.
